Accuracy and Precision

Do you know what is the difference between accurate and precise? 
Then let me give you this illustration.. dart board

We use these terms, accuracy and precision in pharmacy in analytical method validation. As you can see at the dart board above, that's exactly what we need for our analytical method. It should be accurate and precise. Accurate means our analysis result are close to the true value meanwhile precise means if we repeat our analysis they would give the same result.. Accurate and precise mean if we repeat our analysis they would give us the same result that close to the true value..

Okay, today through this short yet simple post, we have learned two parameters in analytical method validation :D
